Ok how do i tell them I don't want a big party?

Ok my birthday is on the 5th of April thats like a week away...My parents want to have a big birthday party for me cause i will be 20 then...they want to invite all my family, my close friends etc....they have made all the arrangements already catered everything..but i don't want a big party...is it 2 late to tell them that? if not i don't want to blurt it out an tell them..can u suggest ways to help me out?

Ok Kevin we are not millionaires lol..my family just like to have fun...but this year i think i need a break from all the partying etc... i just want some alone time to chill an think....

    You should be grateful that they are even having a party, times are tough now. Most people will bring you a gift or a card with money so just appreciate the fact they are doing this for you. You waited too long to tell them you did not want anything special so after this party tell them how much you appreciate what they did but you would not want another birthday party that huge.

    You should have said something earlier, but try to talk to them now to see if they can call it off.

    Writing a note usually works because then they can't interrupt you while you explain why you don't want the party.

    Enjoy it. And tell them since your having a big party this time.. You want a smaller one next time.

    if you're turning 20 then MAN up and tell them you don't want it..they'll probably react better than you think, unless they've already done everything for it. then you best just sit back and enjoy aha

    if they have already made all the plans its too late. just enjoy it. you'll probably end up having more fun than you thought you would. trust me my parents do this all the time

    your 20 years old, a grown man, if your parents have a problem with you not wanting a big party then they'll just have to live with it.
