friend request on facebook?

I personally always find it odd when people I don't know friend request me for one reason or another -- either they just thought it would be fun to randomly request me, or they mistakenly thought I was someone else they knew. What I normally do is look at their profile before deciding whether or not to accept the request, see if I even know them, and if I don't, I don't bother to add them; I only have friends on Facebook if I personally know them, because I'm on there to keep in contact with my friends, and not complete strangers.

Anyone from any part of the world could find you and add you. Maybe you guys are in same group or same fan page and etc. If you do not feel comfortable, you can delete the person. This will give you peace of mind. Also if you want you can put them in your limited profile but keep in mind they can still see all your profile pictures and basic information. Also whatever you do not restrict on them they can see.

I wouldn't ask if you knew them because you already added the person. My opinion best is to delete

The person just randomly saw your page and prob. thought you were cute so they added you.

Maybe you have the same name of someone they were looking up and saw your picture and wanted to add you because you were good looking.

They might be in a similar group as you. I've had many random request from that..

About asking them, deleting them, or whatever....just do whatever you want. There's no proper etiquette here.
