Quarters vs. Semesters?
Im transferring to a semester system school and I was wondering how many classes an average student takes during one semesters.

i understand that but that still doesnt tell me how many credits one takes

Full time is usually 12 units and you need permission to take more than 18. Most classes are usually 3 credits. Sometimes language, math and science classes are 4 or 5 units. So, full time students take about 4 to 5 classes. Some universities have all 4 unit classes, 12 still being full time and most people take about 4 classes or 16 units.

A semester is two quarters.
A full year of school is two semesters or four quarters
