which do you enjoy and laugh at more the simpsons or family guy?

I laugh at Family Guy more, though I haven't watched a full episode of the Simpsons in about 2 years, when I stopped the episodes felt stale and as if they just kept revisiting old episodes which I understand they've been on the air for so long and I for one don't want them to not be on the air even though I don't watch I have a love for that show, but they also seem to no longer no how to end an episode and that can be annoying but like I said I haven't watched in two years so if I were to watch it Sunday I might feel differently. The thing is Family Guy was great before it was cancelled and for a long while after it came back but it's starting to feel a bit stale also, but hey, I'm a huge fan of the old timey musicals they used to do and without that I just don't love the show as much but it's still one of the funniest things on tv. I did love that episode when Stewie worked at Mcburgertown because he was left home alone. The boss wanted him to clean the bathroom and he said, "No no I'm not going back in there. Literally the only part of the floor that didn't have feces on it was the part that had a baby on it" I laughed so hard to the point I couldn't breathe and the Rose Song performance was great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTJN-lP0cXk Family Guy Rick rolled us.

Let's just say this. I can watch an entire Family Guy episode without laughing, but there is no way I can do that with the Simpsons.

In my opinion, Family Guy humor is not nearly as good as the Simpsons, or at least the Simpsons of old. The newer ones I'm not so sure of, they seem to be getting Family Guy-ish. But seasons 5-12 of the Simpsons can't be topped by anything. The humor used in it is so clever and hilarious I don't think anyone can come close to matching it. I think the Office has been the closest thing to it recently.

Family Guy is more consistent. It never fails to make me laugh and is more or less exactly my kind of humour. However, when The Simpsons get it right they are unbeatable, but in recent seasons the quality has deteriorated. The Simpsons does have more heart, but Family Guy has more laugh out loud moments. Characters are also fairly balanced (Peter, Stewie and Brian being equally funny to the likes of Homer, Chief Wiggum and Krusty). When push comes to shove I have to say I prefer Family Guy, but also agree that The Simpsons is hilarious, and when it is at its peak, cannot be topped.

Family guy for sure! A gay baby----a talking atheist dog! Where can you go wrong? The fact that family guy is so obvious about its crude humor is what I love the most. When Peter couldn't stop singing the Bird is the Word song and Brian and Stewie destroyed the record---the slow motion with the gangster music in the background. Freakin genius! The oiled up naked guy, the fighting chicken. I mean all of these things are horribly wrong and I would never watch this show with my grandmother but when I watch family guy I cant stop laughing and each minute of each episode is quotable and awesome. I love Family Guy. It's way better than the Simpsons.

i prefer the simpsons because they are funnier, to me family guy just doesn't make sense. A dog that talks and marries a human. A baby that talks, and out to destroy the world. I mean that just seems a bit to ridiculous to me. The simpsons are funny and they make sense.

same here. i love the simpsons but ever since i discovered family guy a few years ago, i would definitely pick watching family guy over the simpsons. its so much funnier to me. i kinda actually get bored with the simpsons now. haha...

Simpsons hasn't made me laugh in a very long time. Family guy tends to get many more chuckles out of me.

In the end though South Park beats both of them.

I like simpsons better, but I laugh more at FG

family guy...the mix of characters is great. they are all so funny. and there are so many one-liners that people quote from the series all the time. it's clearly the funnier choice.
