Which type of baby formula is better, Enfamil Lipil or an organic?

My wife and I are at odds over which formula is best for our baby. I want to stick with the Enfamil because it provides the most nutrients. My wife wants to use the organic brand from Whole Foods because it doesn't contain chemicals. I feel that if the Enfamil were harmful, it would not be on the shelves. What do you all think?

There is nothing wrong with enfamil. Its been around for a LONG time. Have you tried both formulas with your baby (assuming you've had him/her already.) Some kids cant tolerate some formulas. With my son it was trial and error until we found the right formula for him. Enfamil Lactose Free was the one we stuck with. The others gave him stomach upset. Also its not good to switch formulas quickly...you're suppose to gradually switch.

All formula is regulated by the FDA to have enough nutrients to nourish your baby. There are no chemicals in Enfamil that would harm a baby, just minerals and vitamins. If she really cared so much, why not breastfeed?

I think an organic formula is the best. Both of my babies were fed organic formula. It has the nutrients needed without hormones and pesticides.

    I breast fed my daughter.

My son started on Similac, but couldn't tolerate it, or any of the other formulas, so he was on evaporated milk by the time he was 1 month.

My granddaughter drinks Nestle Good Start
