Is the Corvette dead?

With GM now being run by the US government, I assume all of GM's brands are gone, except for Chevrolet and Cadillac. But I don't expect every Chevy and Caddy to survive, for instance, there is no profit on the Cobalt, and I expect the gov't to ax it. The corvette is different but since its not a hybrid or a huge profit center, like the Silverado, will the gov't insist it gets cut?

The Chevy corvette is part of American history, if the government dictates the stopped production of that car, then our government is run by a bunch of terrorists and non-Americans. The government stopping the production of the Corvette is like the leader of them towel-heads saying they can't kiss the dirt for that Allah guy anymore. They just can't do it.

The Corvette is in no danger, even with Obama the Messiah pulling the strings. The Corvette is the least of GM's vehicle issues.

no way dude. The vette has been around longer then the mustang plus the base vette is very good on gas considering the power of the engine. It gets more miles a gallon and it can out run a gt500 and challenger srt8
