How do i factor.... (EASY 10 points!)?

    (2x-8)(x-5) Just find factors of 2 and factors of 40 for 2 you can only have 1 and 2, but for 40 you can have 1 and 40, 2 and 20, 4 and 10, and 5 and 8. The only ones that work with the factors of 2 are 5 and 8 Make the signs negative to get negative 18 and you're done!

  • 3y^(2) + 6y + 3 = 0

    3( y ^(2) + 2y +1) = 0

    (y+1)(y+1) =0

    y= -1

    3(y^2+2y+1)

    3(y+1)^2 .... Since (a+b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 +2ab

    Idk how to factor it but u can use the method FOIL,

    u multiply everything for it, for example,

    Inside

    Last
