What is the best guitar to learn on, Bass or Electric?

Hello. I am starting out as a guitarist. I have eliminated the choice for acoustic guitar, so don't mention it. I see very low prices for a bass guitar and electric guitar. Which one is easier to learn on? I'll probably get both eventually, but which should I get first? Bass or electric? By the way, I intend on playing metal on it. Thank you very much!

You should first try the electric guitar. Why don't you try to post this to members at guitarchillout.com, its a community for guitarists and you can link up with a lot of people trying to learn guitar..........

Well I possess three electrical guitars so I will simply provide you my opinion. I feel electrical guitar is far cooler, and cooler sounding, and if you're a individual who loves to exhibit off, the electrical guitar is for you. HOWEVER, if you're extra into track, and benefit from the beat, I could suggest bass. Bass is plenty much less typical and manner less complicated to get right into a band than electrical, because nearly each and every man performs electrical. IMO, play the important thing board. You can do something you desire on those suckers, and any band will take you considering the fact that there are close to none!

you should pic electric guitar.if you can play guitar well means you too can play bass.

there's more things to learn on normal guitar rather than bass.

Choose one! they're completely different, and playing one wont make you any better at the other. So choose one instrument that you think you like more, you can learn to play both, but one won;t help you in learning the next.

Personally i would choose the Bass, bedcause it tends to be in most demand if you ever plan on being in a band.
