    Back before the Romans and Christians came to Europe, April 1st was the start of the New Year. Those who refused to adopt the new calendar and start the New Year on January 1st were called April fools.

    Why do we call it "April Fool's Day" at all? Are there other "Fool's Days" on the calendar? Is September 8 "September Fool's Day?"
