Do you think Cancun, Mexico is a dangerous place to go?

Cancun is very safe. I was there with my hubby and kids from March 18th through the 24th. We were safe at all times and we traveled by tour bus to Playa Del Carmen and took the local buses in Cancun to the markets, El Centro, etc. Cancun is a very safe place to vacation.

Give me a break already, Yahoo Askers. Cancun is much safer than going to Houston, Miami, LA, Phoenix!

uh, no it is not. And for the guy that mentioned that his pal broke his neck with the help of a huge wave there...........the water became particularly calm and serene once I went. definitely, it became plenty calmer in my opinion than the beaches in California, Florida, and Acapulco. in my opinion, of the 4, Cancun has the main secure waters. Now Acapulco, thats some loopy waves!
