Im planning on traveling around America after my secondary education?
Im planning on travelling around America for a few months once i have finished my secondary education. By this time i will be 19 and looking to get an apprenticeship through wildlife photography.
Ive always wanted to travel America and i feel it will bring some very good opportunities to take some amazing photograph as well as experience the American life.
I have yet to look at prices and routes but i was wondering if there is anyone that has don a similar thing and would like to give their personal experience about it and any hints/tips you could give
Thanks

I haven't done it but am planning on doing it when I finish my degree. There are some companies that plan routes for you, and have a look in some charity shops cos they have loads of travel books and maps to help you plan a route cheaply!
You won't be able to drive (something about having a license for 5 years+ I think) but the greyhound buses are really cheap. If you're keen on wildlife, check out some national parks e.g. Yellowstone and give yourself plenty of time cos they're much bigger than you think (it makes me remember just how tiny the UK is!)
We're also going to take camping gear (tent etc) and do things like hike down (and up) the grand canyon - my friends have done it and say it takes about 6 days and that its absolutely stunning. Good luck!

What are you looking for? Would you like hot temp or cool temp? Medium? If you are going during the winter and if you don't want to freeze to death I would recommend Arizona or California. Summer maybe go fo New York if you want up beat and a quick pace. But New York is actually pretty dangerous so... I am not sure about that! . But either ay all I know is that you will love it! Ameica is awesome! I have lived there my whole life!!!!!!!!!!!!! It rocks!! Have fun!!

you have much better choices from boston then going to niagara falls....if it were up to me I would go from boston up to maine (only about 1 1/2 hours compared to 7 hours to niagara falls)--from maine you can drive to montreal or quebec city which both places are utterly amazing..then backtrack to maine and head south to nyc...this trip would greatly minimize the driving in between places... other places worth visiting along this route are: burlington, vermont new hampshire cape cod, massachusettes you could still see philedalphia and washinbgton DC if you wanted to since they're less than 2 hours from nyc skip niagara falls --way to out of the way from where you are starting
