I don't understand this question about the Renaissance at all.....?

The word renaissance means, literally, "re-birth" It happened at a time, following the so-called Dark Ages, when people in western Europe had more-or-less forgotten the ancient civilizations in Greece, Italy and other Mediterranean countries (e.g., Egypt, Carthage), But actions in those countries caused cultural leaders to examine examples of classic art, architecture, design and those examples became "models" for similar efforts in the then-modern world.

The rediscovery of classical models influenced humanism.
