Why are my hydraulics running slow?

I have a old bucket truck that blew a hose, I fixed it and put more oil in, but the hydraulics operate a lot slower than before. I have to rev the engine up to make it move like before the hose blew. I cleaned the filter, but its still slow. Any ideas? Thanks

You may have some air in the line. I would bleed the system like a brake line. Open up a line as far from the reservoir as possible and run it until fluid leaks out. Refill your system and retest.

first did you put hydraulic oil in it if you did the next thing I would check is your hydraulic pump put a gage on it and see if it's with in limits

Is this a loader, say for picking up dirt?

It sounds like air in the line.
