Getting U.S. passport: If i go to post office where i get photo, can i do it all in one trip/visit?

I am going to finally get my passport! My local post office has a passport photo service, as well as processing forms, etc. (obviously). So i was wondering if i have to go get my photo done seperately, and then come back another time to bring in my forms and proof of citizenship, etc. OR if i can go there, get my photos taken, and then file my passport forms/application and get it all done in one visit.

BF and i are going to Mexico at the begining of June, and he has his passport, but i dont. I plan on getting mine expidited and overnight shipping.

Thank you for your answers!!

If your post office has the photo service there you can get it all done in one trip. Be aware that they charge a lot more ($15) then going to Walmart or Walgreens ($7). You can also take your own picture at home with a digital camera and then bring it in to one of those kiosks to crop and center it properly. Just make sure you are standing in front of a white background and you get mostly your face in the picture. Good night and have tons of fun on your vacation!

Yes, the PO will give you your photos right away; you don't need to go anywhere else and can submit the forms right there.
