I renewed my license on August 20 (and btw, they never sent me a notice to renew it! I just new it had to be done). And it expired on my 21st birthday, which was August 30.

Went into the DMV on my birthday and they said i am fine to drive, because i'm renewed, but i shouldnt expect my license for a bit longer.

Its now September 6th, and i'm just wondering about how long it took other CA drivers to get their new drivers license after renewing online? Anxious to get it not only so i have the id/license itself. But because i havent been able to have my official 21st birthday bash yet!

I was just promoted to assistant manager from cashier. I have a couple of write ups from when i first started. Do i get a clean slate since i was promoted, or do those write ups still have effect (ie: if i am written up again, it will be my 3rd write up).

I just bought a Saturn Ion coupe (2003). The seat guide is broken on the drivers side, and it is attached to the headrest itself. I've been scouring the web trying to find a headrest with belt guide, but no luck. Wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of one?

Here is a pic of the actual piece that is missing. Its like a door trim peice or something, but i cant find a replacement part anywhere online. I know that saturns arent made anymore, and have contacted a GM dealer, but they havent gotten back to us about it.

I'm 19 years old, work a decent job, etc. Still live at home with my parents.

My dad accidentally claimed me as a dependent on his (and my moms) taxes, when i'm not. He has already filed his taxes, but i havent (and deadline is midnight tomorrow!!!!)

Will he be able to change it????

If not, i'll have to file as a dependant, and i will owe state and federal together about $600, instead of getting a refund of about $400.

Our Border Collie, Cowboy, was outside playing yesterday in the yard, and about an hour after he came back inside, we noticed he had a bunch of medium sized bumps all over his face. They were hard bumps, and didnt feel like they had any fluid in them. We squeezed them and nothing came out. THey just got bigger. And they were just his face.

He could'nt stop scratching them, and so we got an icepack to put over them and it seemed to help. But as he scratched them, more and more bumps were coming up.

This morning, his face looks better, but right around his jaw/mouth, he is still swollen. But today, he is acting REALLY wierd!

He was eating his food, and with every bite, he acted like he was choking, and we checked, and there was nothing stuck in his throat. He wont go out to the vinyard to do his business. (there is a vinyard behind our house that Cowboy goes to do business in),

He is very hyperactive too, more-so than usual. He hasnt vomitted, no diarrhea, and has an appetite and is drinking as usual.

We have a vet appt, but i want to ask on here to see if i can get some suggestions to giv to the vet. (i work at the vets office as a Vet Assistant, so i do this anyways). But this is my baby boy and i cant think of anything other than red ants attacked him. :-/

Please, if you have an idea of what could've happened, or if something simillar happened to your pup, please respond.

I have 8 rats, and a few of them are very big boys! Over 1 lb each!

The local vets office, the shelter and the local pet supply store have asked me to bring in some of my rats and talk to thier employees and adopters about rats and how great of a pet they can be and are and thier specific needs! I am known as the 'Rat Lady' in my town.

So for the couple of boys who are the really big boys i want to get them a harness to show how trainable rats are and how social and 'dog-like' they are which most people in my town dont beleive.

In addition, i like to take my rats with me places, and they usually stay in their special carrier, and ride on my shoulder when i go somewhere that allows them to come out 'unleashed'. But with a harness i could take them out more and educate people on the amazing world of the rat. :-)

Here is the harness i am considering, and would like some input. I've tried to use a small kitten harness, but they slip out too easy. I have a good feeling about this harness, since it is more adjustable, and isnt as wide of a material.

I got my sis the jumbo remote (bigmatters brand) from kmart because she keeps loosing the one that came with the tv. (and now we really cant find it!) So we put in the batteries, and follow the instructions by turning on the remote, and the LED light is flashing.

The instructions then say that you need to turn on the device you want to program (which we did), and point the remote at it and press code search for up to 10 seconds then the LED light will stop flashing, but it never did. We've been trying this for about an hour now!!!

Anyone have the same problem? And solve it?

My usb webcam wont work on yahoo messenger anymore. It used to!.

When i go to connect my webcam on yahoo messenger, it says there is no camera connected/detected on my computer. But there is! (the cam is working fine on its own software.

I just recently (2 days ago) got Norton 360 security software. Could something with that be preventing it from working?

I am a vet tech student (Penn Foster College), and have been trying to get a job in a vet clinic/hospital for a couple months now, and earlier this week i got a call and a local vet hospital wants me to do an interview. So my interview is tomorrow, and i have a really nice but casual outfit picked out, that shows that i am proffessional, yet young and fun, and look smart. :-) I'm just wondering what kind of questions i should expect.

I currently work in a Frozen Yogurt Shop, and have done job interviews before, but never for a job in the veterinary field perse'. (i did work at a boarding kennel for a summer job).

The job is for a receptionist/ vet assistant job. Its a small practice, but they see alot of patients, and are one of the BEST practices in the county.

So yeah, if you have any advice for me, or can give me a hint as to what kinds of questions they would ask for the job (receptionist / vet. assistant), that would be AWESOME!!!

I am only 18, but am very mature, and very hardworking and KNOW that i only want to work with animals my whole life.

I am going to finally get my passport! My local post office has a passport photo service, as well as processing forms, etc. (obviously). So i was wondering if i have to go get my photo done seperately, and then come back another time to bring in my forms and proof of citizenship, etc. OR if i can go there, get my photos taken, and then file my passport forms/application and get it all done in one visit.

BF and i are going to Mexico at the begining of June, and he has his passport, but i dont. I plan on getting mine expidited and overnight shipping.

I dropped my phone in the toilet and it has water damage on the screen, and when i turn it on, i get the ''blue screen of death''. (my phone is the samsung eternity).

I have the insurance on it in case something happens to it. But my dad said they wont cover it if there is visible water in the phone.

Just wondering if anyone has had a simillar problem, and if the insurance on the phone covered water damage. And what ordeals you had to go through....

I just followed the galactic grunt on the valor lakefront until we battled and then he fleed. I dont know where he went, and the abrupt end of that left me confused. I found where i need to climb up the side of a big hill and it says that a pokemon can climb it, but i cant since i dont have rock climb.

We live in petaluma, CA and we have falled upon hard times (husband was layed off), and we have applied for rental assistance through PPS (petaluma people services), and they have agreed to pay $900 of our rent, in which we pay $400. Our apartment complex however will not accept a partial payment (our part, $400) with the rest of the rent, $900, guaranteed to be payed within 5 days. THey are telling us its the full payment on time or nothing. And yet, they let our neighbors and other people we know make partial payements and such who dont even have rental assistance. Is this at all legal???

My boyfriend and i want to have our anniversary in vegas. Not for gambling, obviously since we're under 21, but just to have a different view out the window and to be in a fun and exciting city. (unlike the small town we live in).

So just wondering that if you are under 21, if you can book a hotel in vegas.

I know he needs Ivermectin to cure it, so i am trying to find a vet in the Napa/Sonoma area that is good with rats. (ie. knows about rat health)

If any rat owners in the area know of a good reputable vets, i would really like to know. :-) thanks!

ALso, if anyone who has had thier rats treated for sarcoptic mange knows how much it costs, (approx. cost) that would be awesome!

There arent many websites out there that talk about sarcoptic mange in rats, and what few there are out there, i have read them. So if anyone can tell me any more valuable info about the condition, that would be awesome too.

BTW. I have 6 rats. I've been checking my 5 other rats several times daily to make sure they arent showing the same symtoms as the one rat that has the mites. Since i read that it is contagious. I cant move him into a different cage, since i dont have another cage, nor do i have the spare money to get one, especially since i will be taking him to the vet.

My boyfriend and i of 2 years have been planning on moving out of our parents house(s) for quite some time now, and due to my parents wanting me out of the house ASAP (mostly my mom, who has never liked me being around) we are getting really serious about moving in together. We want to stay in the area that we live in now, or at least nearby, so then we can keep our jobs.

So i have a few questions that i'll just list out here:

- Can we get a personal loan from the bank to pay the security deposit (as well as a pet deposit, since we have 6 pet rats) and also get furniture?

- Do landlords look down upon young people renting out apartments and/or studios? (all of the appartments i've looked at, all seem to want people who have had jobs for at least a year, or who have supurb credit. Which 2 people fresh out of high school dont really have!)

- What are some things we should look for (or lookout for) while searching for an appartment or studio to rent? (we want to move out before March of 2009, so we have a bit of time to search).

I am trying to find a Cage with double doors, like on a ferret nation cage, but i dont want to spend more than $150.00 (not including shipping).

The cage i have now is nice, but it is difficult to clean. It always has been, but i've finally been able to save up enough for a decent cage. (simillar to a ferret nation cage, but ALOT cheaper!)
