Big matters Jumbo Remote not working....brand new!!!!?
I got my sis the jumbo remote (bigmatters brand) from kmart because she keeps loosing the one that came with the tv. (and now we really cant find it!) So we put in the batteries, and follow the instructions by turning on the remote, and the LED light is flashing.
The instructions then say that you need to turn on the device you want to program (which we did), and point the remote at it and press code search for up to 10 seconds then the LED light will stop flashing, but it never did. We've been trying this for about an hour now!!!
Anyone have the same problem? And solve it?

You may have forgotten to press the TV button FIRST before Trying the codes or selecting code search.
You have to tell the remote what you plan on coding...TV Cable box Audio amp etc.....
Otherwise the remote would require ALL codes be reinstalled.
So, get out your instruction manual, Do the CODE Setup, then press TV, then insert your BRAND Code...
It's actually faster to try all the codes for your brand.
Then if you have an oddball TV with no codes, that's when you do the code search.
And don't forget to circle the code that works with the TV set, it'll make it even faster should you need to reinsert the code again.
