Hamilton has apologized for his mistake. Why is it that the fans are still adamant on the conspiracy theory?

It looked more like face saving measure with Dave Ryan being given all the blame. (The apology statements looked rather strange though)

Update:

Y2K, do you suspect that sometime soon someone will suggest that Ferrari hired Dave Ryan?

Because it is a conspiracy maaan!

They're feedin' us a bunch of lies maaaan! They've cornered Lewis and told him if he doesn't keep his mouth shut they'll ban him from the Championship! (sarcasm intended, lol!)

I dunno mate, i notice actually now that he has apologised they are pretty silent on the whole issue. I'd like to see some apologies from them who called the rest of us racists (not on Y!A though) and so on for simply stating the facts about what happened instead of jumping on the "it's an FIA conspiracy" bandwagon.

Not sure why Dave Ryan got the blame, hard to see a man who's worked with the same team since 1974 do something this dirty.

I'm British and naturally support Hamilton, though I'd hardly call myself a fan. He seems to invite FIA investigations the way he carries on, he's had a far too easy ride into a plum race drive, all his hard work in junior formulae was ruined by going to the best car too early, why McLaren didn't send him to Force India for a year to get some sort of solid mind set, I'll never know.

Hope that's the end of the controversy for a while, but I doubt it.

Haha... it's always like that when it concerns Lewis Hamilton. It is a rather strange case but I'd be more concerned about why Hamilton would just lie as he was told. Surely they all know that the FIA has access to all materials (tea radio included) and if they lied it would be discovered definitely.

However, Hamilton is not completely let off the hook yet as action could be taken against McLaren

Well firefox, for those who are still adamant, they probably are inventing new conspiracy theories. *sound familiar? :)*

I am sure Ryan is the nominated fall guy for the whole team so that they can escape further punishment. Too bad for him, there was 2 persons called to the inquiry and the other guy is not expendable.

I've only read the quotes about the apology but it seemed phony to me. It's a desperate attempt to divert the blame away from Lewis so they don't get kicked out of this years championship.

Lewis only has him to blame himself. The fact that he goes and blames his team or someone in the team is unaccpetable. the team try so hard to get him on top and what does he do throw it back in their faces.

I'm a fan of his, and yesterday i stuck up for them but today i realised i stuck up for them only because even yesterday they didn't reveal the full details, and now Lewis has revealed he was instructed to lie. It's pathetic, they are on probation and now they do this...they need to start acting professional.
