You shouldn't worry much. You just 'impinged' a nerve,,, it happens sometimes.

you would soon know if you had pins and needles my love, it would be a constant total pain, i had a n operation on my right hand shoulder
where i dislocated my collar bone, and after the op, i had pins and needles from my neck to my fingers, for well over 6 weeks. down
my right arm.
you will soon know if you had it. believe me. it sounds like you have got a trapped nerve and nothing else. all muscles and nerves stem from the neck/shoulders. just take paracetamol. all i can think off.

Most likely you had the blood circulation cut in your arm. Perhaps you were leaning on it or something. Usually you don't feel the pins and needles feeling until the blood starts to flow freely back into your arm.
The feeling of Pins and Needles comes from the lack of oxygen carried by blood cells. When they start to receive the blood flow back the nerve sensors begin to scramble trying to figure out where to send their electric signals to (The Brain).

Young Lady,
It is very likely a nerve pinched in your neck. I would attempt to see a Chiropractor ASAP. They can generally straighten up such a problem with one or two visits. I hope that this helps. Have a great weekend.
Thanks,
Eds

Chas. B,
I am sorry to hear this. I also have nerve damage in my legs and feet from diabetic neuropathy. This is the same feeling that I have had there for the last 15 years or so.
Thank You,
Eds

usually if you are leaning on a certain part, it can cause your arm to fall asleep without you even realizing it. did you hit your funny bone cause it could of been that. If it happens again, but stays for a while i would get checked out. hope you feel better!
