Good headphones (even if they provide, they are usually low quality)
Ipod (just in case there are no good music options on the flight)
Playing cards (if you are flying with friends)
GUM (helps with air pressure issues)

Labtop! I make videos on the plane. With my hd camcorder, I can make movies of the annoying little brats who kicks my seat, or make a review of the plane or some sort.
Labtops are good to have.

Music ( ipod cd player)
Gum/Candy
Phone ( on air plane mode)
Comfortable Clothes ( can sleep )
something to do ( books magazines SOMETHING!)
because it gets pretty boring up there
