What would you do if this was to happen to you?

I have been with my husband for 12 years. We have had our ups and downs . But here lately things are not the same. His brother lives with us cause he is going through a rough break up. His brother is an alcoholic and drinks everyday. Me and my husband don't drink that much and never brought beer in the house. So hubby thinks it's ok for his brother to do this. Anyway the other day I get off work and my stupid *** brother in law tries to have sex with me. I mean he stood up and started unzipping his pants and asked if he could hit that thing. Like **** no. How could you do that to your own brother? Then all he could say is he is sorry. Sorry don't take it back. Well I debated on telling my husband cause I didn't want to hurt him. Well I did and I got called a liar and he didn't even confront his brother. I mean wtf is wrong with you. Well later that night we got into an arguement over something stupid and my husband put his hands in my face and i just pushed his hand out of my face the he punched me in the arm really hard it still hurts I have a big bruise on it now. My husband has changed since his brother has been living here. I have been seriously thinking about leaving him . What would you do?

Your being abused by both these men right now. Tell your husband the brother has to leave at once...have his crap ready at the front door. If your husband disagrees, throw them both out.

If they refuse to go...you leave and make sure you file an abuse report on them both.

Best of Luck..what an awful situation these two have put you in.

It sounds like your husband is getting pretty stressed out about his brother. Your brother in laws behaviour was not something that you should have to put up with under any circumstance. Now stress is fantastic vehicle for making you behave in an out of charater way and maybe that is why your husband punched your arm ( that is only as long as he doesn't hit you at any other time ...ever.) I think it would be a good time to say to your husband that you are thinking of taking some time away so that he can try to sort his brother out especially as you do not feel comfortable (IN YOURE OWN HOME)

    Good luck

If your husband is not willing to at least try and get to the bottom of it, it sounds as if he really dosen't care about you as much as he should. and if he puts his hands on you, that is the begining stages of abuse sweetie.

If you really want to stay with him, you both may need some counciling, but if things do not seem to get better and you have to ask someone what you should, I think it is time to leave.

Leave him now. He is always going to side with his brother. You don't mean anything to him if he is willing to allow his brother to sexually harass you and even hit you. Get out now!

Tell him you have been patient giving his brother a TEMPORARY place to stay, but now he has to choose - you or his brother.

I'd tell my husband flat out. "Either he goes or I do because I'm sick of this sh*t." And then prepare yourself mentally, emotionally and financially if he chooses his brother.
