a thesis statement (what you are trying to convince or what you are talking about.

body:

Topic sentence (what you will be discussing)

examples/details :state reasons it is true or proof

give at least 2-3 examples

concluding sentence (wrap up sentence)

Conclusion:

Restate Thesis

why is this topic important (have meaning)

Clincher (something for the reader to think about....after)

For the intro, begin by making a general statement about the environment, and how it affects the world, and then america as a country. Talk about global warming, and changes such as temperature, flood, drought, sea level changes (only mention these briefly).

Throughout the body mention each of these changes, give an example of how it affects america, and how people can change their lifestyle to make america 'greener'. After each point make sure you connect each point with the next.

In the ending, reiterate what you said about how the changes americans make can improve the effects of global warming and make america a better country.

For intro, describe how global warming is affecting earth in a negative way and what the results could do to mankind. Maybe give statistics and go into more detail. Also, give examples of ways one can help and contribute to "saving the world". Repeat at end, but w/ different wording
