Final Fantasy codes XI online Xbox 360?

I have just recieved my second hand copy of Final Fantasy Xi for online use of the xbox 360. I however when inputtin the codes have received two messages sayin that the codes were invalid and to check them. i then checked the internet for the previous buyers details etc, emailed him what had happend etc. BUT when i then went to log out i put the codes on once more to double check it all but then revieved a different messgae sayin unable to process request please check membership status. it then asked me to input a few names and passwords and is now uploading final fantasy which is guna take an hour... does this sounds right? only reason i ask is because im afraid that my codes are invalid or that ive messed it up somehow! ive been waiting for this games for a couple weeks. would it have let me pass this stage if i had invalid codes(where the previous owner had not cancelled their acc and was still using the codes in the back of the book for themselves) ??? Many thanks

A Final Fantasy XI box contains two important items:

    1) The software code. POL & Final Fantasy XI

    2) Registration codes. POL, Final Fantasy XI, Zilart, and maybe other expansion packages depending upon what the box includes. NOTE: You'll need a registration code for EACH and EVERY product (e.g. base FFXI and expansions to FFXI (e.g. Zilart, CoP, Treasures, WOTG, etc)).

The software code won't be the most recent code. Before you're able to log into POL, the product will first update the POL software to the current level. Once updated it will give you the choice to create a new POL account OR use an existing POL account.

If you do NOT have an existing POL account, you'll need an unused POL registration code to create the POL account.

Should the POL registration code not allow you to create a new POL account, you'll need to one of the following:

    1) Obtain an existing POL account with or without FFXI registered.

    2) Get an unused registration code for POL from a friend or the person who sold you the package.

    3) Buy registration codes from SE via the www.playonline.com store at the website.

So, in summary: The software code you can obtain from many sources (e.g. download, from DVD/CD, etc) The registration codes are what allows you to use the software and identifies you uniquely to the servers.

You'll need a registration code for EACH and EVERY product you want to use, such as:

    1) POL

    2) Base FFXI

    3) Expansion packs (e.g. Zilart, CoP, Treasures, WotG, and the new story lines).

    4) Some items you get as gifts or bonuses from SE also require unique registration codes.

My recommendation to you is to contact the seller for valid registration codes for the 4 above items OR buy them from SE via the website.

Price of Each Expansion Pack Registration Code

    - Final Fantasy XI: Rise of the Zilart Registration Code: $ 9.99

    - Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia Registration Code: $ 9.99

    - Final Fantasy XI: Treasures of Aht Urhgan Registration Code: $ 14.99

Please read the "What's your source?" section for the SE website / web pages.

Ya, you cant buy mmorpgs used. Whoever sold it to you ripped you off. You need a new copy of the game.

You need your own set of registration codes that havn't been used before.
