I want to get my first credit card, which should I go with?

First things first. Go to Myfico.com and get your credit scores and reports. Don't go hunting for credit cards without knowing exactly what you going to look like to a credit lender. Once you know this first go to your bank and ask them, based on what you have on your Credit reports and your scores (Equifax, TransUnion; Experian no longer offers FICO scores to consumers). They will more than likely offer you a SECURED credit card to begin with. You deposti $300 bucks with them they issue you a card with a $300 limit. However, make damn sure that your bank reports to the credit bureaus as UNSECURED. If it reports as secured FICO will ding you on your score if it is reported differently. If your bank does not report like that then go to creditcards.com or creditboards.com and type in SECURED CREDIT CARD. There are cards out there that will help you get started. They have upfront fees but you've got to start somewhere. Hope this helps

Your first credit card is hard to get. If you are interested in rewards and have no credit to your name Capital One No Hassle Cash rewards is your best option 1% back on everything. After a year what ever you earn in rewards they add another 25% to that.
