Cold in the shadow of large objects (Planets & Moons) and hot in direct sunlight.

Technically, except that it would be rather hard to find an empire star cruiser.

space can be cole and can be warm depending on how near you are to a star, and how hot the star is. blue is the hottest and red is the coldest. space has no Oxygen, so if you opened your helmet you would die instantly and float of into space

space is nothing. it has no temperature.
if you have heat coming in (e.g. sunlight, warm-blooded astronuts), you are warm. if you don't, you radiate heat in to space and get cold.
