Star Sports Viewers: Do you feel we are missing the good old days?

The commentary seems to be dull with Karun Chandhok kind of wanting me to change channels. He is too exaggerated and some times says the wrong stuff. And that girl, don't know how they selected her...

Dont you want a change in the ESPN Star Sports Formula 1 team?

Update:

Maybe I'm too confused. In Malaysia at about 5 laps of racing:

Commentator 1: (Excited)"Its raining, see the droplets... " or something to that effect.

Commentator 2: "Its just oil..."

No disputing that Paula is hot, but something reminds me of Mandira Bedi and Cricket presentation. Hot thing at the wrong place. Do we need a girl around? Do we need all the games and frolicking? Wont it be better if it is presented in a more serious manner?

Missing Chris Goodwin. Let us not mention Sanjay...

BTW, nothing on TV is ever live, there should always be the mandatory 7 seconds delay for sanity reasons.

Yes, star sports has become a bit dull the last few weeks.

O'come on man, that girl you're talking about is Paula, she's hot! and not as dumb as that other girl they had 2 seasons ago, Colette Wong.

Karun isn't bad, he's pretty accurate about the facts he gives, and as far as i now he hasn't any given wrong information so far. and he is an active racing driver, he knows his stuff, believe me.

steve sometimes gets me pissed. he's too biased towards Ferrari, and keeps laughing all the time, but i'd still choose him over some of the other guys, esp Alex, he is poor, and hopeless! that just shows how desperate ESPN Star is!

I miss good old Chris Goodwin. and i miss the old star sports raceday program, the old grid notes section, the technical section and stuff.

Now a days its all full of gossip, and to be honest it's just a load of crap. the fantasy game and all that does not amuse me at all.

well, I want just Andrew Leci presenting the show with Steve and Chris commenting on the race. Please get rid of that other Clown who is currently on the show with paula, please!

but i also like to point out that Star sports telecast is about 3-4 seconds delayed, so the action isn't all that "live". there was a time when a rival channel broadcasted the race live, the delay as compared to the channel was massive! eg, shumacher was at the beginning of the straight on star while on the other channel, he was at the end of it!

I actually really like Karun and I prefer this format instead of having a new partner for Steve every race. Karun explains everything really well and is sharp enough to pick up on the little details that Steve misses and I have noticed that Steve has been missing more things lately. As much as I love Steve, he does have a habit of repeating things over and over again during the course of a race.

I actually like this combination instead of last year when they hired whoever was free during the race week to partner up with steve. It's the post and pre race coverage that I find quite boring but I guess that's because they don't have as much access as the BBC or ITV used to.

As far as paula, she's not bad, she's better suited for her job than the other staff Star Sports currently have. With steve and Karun, i don't think the network has enough of a budget to hire any other F1 pundits besides all she does is read out post race positions and talk about what happened in qualifying.

    Edit:

Commentator 1: (Excited)"Its raining, see the droplets... " or something to that effect.

    Commentator 2: "Its just oil..."

Lol. I spotted that as well. It was actually Karun who made the mistake and then went on to correct himself since the coverage quickly changed from race action to a Ferrari onboard camera that had picked up some oil and was in the process of cleaning itself up. I don't think he made too many errors that race and he's probably the best option to have with Steve since Chris Goodwin isn't available full time for Star.

And I dislike Alex Yoong too,but I really like Steve Slater. Neutral towards Paula Ali though.
