    In the 2008 MLB Draft, 1,504 players were drafted.

    Of those, 500 were from high schools.

    If I counted correctly, of the remaining 1,004;

    74 were from Division II schools

    22 were from Division III schools

    23 were from NAIA schools

    206 were from Community/Junior Colleges

    8 were from foregin universities.

    8 were not associated with a school

    That presumably leaves 663 from Div 1 schools.

    Smaller colleges have a greater close by fan base and clearly much less human beings went there. the terrific gamers additionally pass D1. I grew up approximately 20 minutes from Grand Valley and that they do no longer even make the close by paper or information till the playoffs initiate. unhappy by way of fact they have some very sturdy communities.
