7.4 L (454) is a very common marine engine, and was in use by Mercruiser up until about 8 years ago. You may be able to get what you need from Sierra Marine.

Try an auto junk yard......there's a lot of these still out there. The stuff you can't get off the auto block, you can get at re-builder shops or parts warehouses. in fact there are complete new engines still available. Good luck!

IF YOUR PROBLEM IS BECAUSE THE ENGINE IS A MARINE ABOUT THE ONLY THING I HAVE FOUND IS THERE IS VERY LITTLE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MARINE AND HIGHWAY ENGINES FROM MACHANICS I ASKED .THE EXHAUST AND INTAKE MANIFOLDS ARE DIFFERENT OF COURSE AND THE FREEZE PLUGS ARE BRASS .THE BASIC ENGINE IS THE SAME AS A TRUCK ENGINE FROM WHAT I FOUND .TRY E-BAY AND CRAIGS LIST ( ASK YOUR QUESTION HERE ) or a junk yard
