My best friend got 246 text msg. in one day from one person. after that she gets at least 2 text msg. a day. i called the police station to ask if there was anything a person could do about this and they said no. all you can do is change your phone number. do you know of any other action a person can take besides changing their number?

The pigs (police in general service) are lying because they don't want to get involved. You should call the FCC (Fed Communications Commission) to report the harassment.

Didn't we just answer this one?

    You have 2 options:

1- Call the cell phone carrier and ask to have the number blocked. Some will, but some won't... so the next step would be to change the phone number

2- Press harassment charges with police. I don't know who you spoke with, but the harassment stated is no different than someone calling a phone number constantly; both are illegal if the person is asked to stop.

The *best* course of action is to call the cell phone company and ask to block the number or change their phone number. Police involvement will strain the family relationships and should only be used as a last resort.

Call your phone company and have them block that user's number from your phone. (Some phones allow you to do that yourself...)

Maybe she can block her number. Call your cell phone provider and see if they can do anything.

don't read them and just delete them, it's costing the sender not the receiver.
