If gay marriage really ruins the sanctity of heterosexual marriage, why are anti-gays still getting married?
After all, if the sanctity of heterosexual marriage has really been ruined by the legalization of gay marriage, no self-respecting, homophobic straight person would ever even consider getting married, right?:)

With people on their third and fourth husbands/wives, and half of all marriages ending in divorce, the sanctity of marriage has already been ruined.
Also, I don't see how it effects others.
I personally see it as a good thing that there is a little more love in this world.
If a gay couple getting married ruins your marriage, then perhaps you should wonder how strong your marriage really is/was in the first place.

The only reason government sanctions of Marriage (a religious concept) exists at all is because it was deemed that having "families" was an over all benefit to society thus people getting married and having children was promoted and is encouraged by the government. Changing this concept to include gays pretty much negates the reason that governments sanctioned marriage for in the first place.
I still have no idea why 2 people that are not having kids would want to be married , same sex or otherwise. And don't tell me Love or Legal rights , both these things have Nothing to do with government sanctioned marriages. One does not have to be married for either

True lol!. But some just can't let go of the man and woman thing. That is because they cannot understand that a marriage is much more then sex.

Gay marriage only destroys the sanctity of your own marriage, if you are a closet homosexual secretly wishing you could divorce your current spouse to marry the same sex.
If people would quit trying to pry into everyone else's business, they wouldn't have to worry about it affecting them one bit.

No, they think they can pull it back the other way and bring 'sanctity' back.
I say, abolish marriage.

By denying a group of people civil rights, it shows that the only thing they are concerned about preserving the 'sanctity' of is discrimination.

Marriage is a legal contract. It is not something considered sacred nor can it be by the government.

I'm still petitioning to outlaw divorce. LOL. That also ruins marriage.

Tangerine, you've been on here long enough to know logic is prohibited by both the Terms and the Guidelines.
