99 cirrus stalling, no start when hot.?

Suspect Crankpos sensor? Also Pcm? Have 2.5 v6 auto. Have extra pcm in wrecked 2000 cirrus w/2.0, swap? Meter does not act fast enough to catch pulses from sensor.

Stalls in park and driving.

Voltage from cps seems to stay at 4.5 v when not cranking

Removed CPS, "crank position sensor" found it burned and melted. Repalaced, ok. Guess that was it.

    You need to double check on the TCM info but if the same engine and transmission is in the 2000 I'd say that their compatible,If you suspect that the PCM is faulty be sure you also check the grounds not only going to the TCM but also to the other comps in the vehicle.

    Could be a crank sensor gone bad or acting up or dirty etc or it could be in the wiring going to it too.

    I'd also check the ignition module's housing on it for any cracks or bulges or discolouring and for bad plug in connections not only for the spark-plugs but the ignition module itself bec it's a common problem the cracks etc are all signs of the ignition module shorting out internally.From what you're saying about it running rough and after it warms up it doesn't start sounds like either the ignition module is acting up or a combination of bad spark plugs , bad gas filter , bad spark-plug wires etc.

    Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way even a bad connection in the fuse box etc can cause that type of issue too or a bad relay so don't forget to check them too.
