Where would you be and what would you be doing?
If you had many more years of good health and unlimited funds...but you didn't know for sure, when it would end?
Great answers everyone. Keep 'em coming.
I have read of a few people who have opted to live out their days on a cruise ship rather than a retirement community. That might be nice.
I think I could be happy anyplace where someone else cut the grass, did the repairs and the house work, so I would be free to persue my arts and crafts without guilt.
blu, we can always count on you to cover all the bases! LOL.

That's a very good question. There are actually two things, but the
most important to me, is to have a prolonged vacation to travel to
the places of most interest to me in the US. And I could visit with
others I haven't seen, since our more youthful years. And I'd like to have a motor home to use as my home away from home to reach
those places and people.
And when all of my traveling was done, I'd return to a cozy and
comfortable beach home Not far from the waves, and yet, not too
close in case of a tidal wave. I'd have the benefit of fresh salt air
to clear the sinuses and renew my lungs and feel more energized
just to wake up in such an environment. I'd have the time to walk the
beach in search of glass fishing floats, and also those hidden by
citizens of the local chapter of tourism, which provide a beach hunt
for precious blown glass art made locally. I would paint with renewed
creativity of the views around me there. And find a peacefulness,
that only the very rich could afford. But while I would not be rich, I
would be enabled to live in comfort. And having the peace of mind one
desires, is worth all of the riches in the world.

Well, I guess that my situation, except for unlimited funds, is just about what you describe. Every bucket has a bottom in it so I am not sure if unlimited funds is ever a reality. If I had fifty times the amount of money that I do have I would probably own fifty times as much country as I do now. However, my steaks would still be an inch and three-quarters thick and they would still be grilled over mesquite charcoal and my beer would still be Modelo Especial and it would be kept just above freezing and I would still wear bluejeans and the same shirts that I wear so, not much would change. Maybe this way I have fewer kinfolks that I know about and that ain't all bad.

If money were not a concern, I'd be living on a Caribbean isle with a small cottage near the sea and a little garden with my kitty. I'd own a small eclectic boutique full of treasures and spend my days communing with visitors to the shop, learning new things and immersing myself in their cultures for the time they spent with me.
I'd be able to cook fresh fish and shellfish, fruits and veggies without concern for mass merchandising of such and spend my days and evenings listening to nature and following a much slower life pace with good friends.
My children and grands would visit often...during holiday.
I'd be free of the 'have-to' regarding dress etc and let my hair grow even longer than it is now, dressing in free flowing garments and sandals or barefoot and having as the MEGA TIME of my day, watching the sun rise and set.
My allergies would disappear [as they do a few days after I am there when I vacation now].
I'd be healthier...getting more exercise walking the beach and swimming and breathing fresh air devoid of industrial waste, emissions and smog and filled with salt air.
I am a water sign...I'd be at peace with the world.
THAT IS MY DREAM

Wow. . more years of good health and unlimited funds. . I honestly wouldn't know what to do. . Definitely help out friends and family in need. . then possibly travel and see the great cities of the world ? ? It would have to be on a slow boat because I would not want to miss anything !!! Hopefully I'd have someone to share it with. . it is no fun to go alone !

I'd be right where I am, doing just what I'm doing. I'm very happy with my life, and having had one fairly serious brush with the Grim Reaper, I'm acutely aware that any day can be our last. I keep close with my kids, and show them that I love them in every way. My husband and I have been married for only a year, and we do live every minute to the fullest, both having had bad times in the past. I have a great job which I love. Life is good in every way ! Sounds a bit too good to be true - but its true !

Since my children all live a distance from me, I would immediately find condos near them, one in New jersey and one in the Harrisburg, Pa area. Then, I would be near enough to them to spend more quality time with my grandchildren.
I would hire a driver to transport me between the two locations as needs arose. I have come to loathe the long commutes as I grow older.
Then, I would provide the opportunity for each of my children to take vacations that they all need and are not able to take because of various reasons including babysitting. I have discovered that I, myself, am not a vacation person. I prefer the familiar comforts of my "nest".
Other than that, I would finally enjoy a period of time in which money was not a deciding factor in every single thing that I do. It would be heavenly!

In Acapulco making passionate love w/ the Mother of my children (wife) ... or maybe on a cruise ship, as a single. I love the concept of the environment where the guests don't leave. I'd be flirting w/ other single women ... trying to turn the charm on ... you know, sharing sense of humor ... singing and dancing ... inciting deep meaningful conversation.
Or, living like Thoreau ... in solitude, observing nature and writing about it.
I'm pretty flexible ... it has to get better than this (present tense) ... lol
edit
Wise, I only covered 3 bases ... maybe I neglected home.

Unlimited funds? Good health? Wow. I would buy a brand new SUV and travel the country. I'd keep back enough money to get me back home from the furthest distance I would be visiting.

I'd travel to all the peaceful places in the world and take photos, make a blog and write a book or two. Take lessons in various crafts and have a nice home to come back to.

I've always said if I win the lottery I'm moving to hawaii. Buy a house in a gated community by the beach, and live the rest of my days in paradise. No more cold midwest winters for me!
