Don't you love when ->?

Don't you love when a rookie reaches their little milestones? Like first hit, first home run, first stolen base, etc.?

I think it's really great; whatever team he's from I always cheer when a rookie gets the first ________.

It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. :)

(The reason I bring this up is because Ranger rookie SS Elvis Andrus just had his first home run!)

BQ: Do you have a rookie on your team that has a lot of potential? If so, who?

    Elvis Andrus, I remember hearing about him as a highly touted prospect. He's coming through, and I can say I saw it coming.

    Brewers have no Rookies on the team yet, but there will be some coming. The team is very young though. I'll never forget Ryan Braun's first hit. Again a highly touted prospect, but it was sweet! Started at the end of very end of May and still got Rookie of the Year.

    BQ: I'm hoping our prospect Jeremy Jeffress starts settling down. We need pitchers. He can throw the ball at 100 mph, but he gets wild. If he'd settle down he could be really good. He has some nasty stuff. He's still on the farm as of now.

    Yes, I always enjoy watching debuts. As a matter of fact, David Patton debuted for the Cubs today. The first hitter he faced was Hunter Pence who hit a homerun to the opposite field. It's all good though. He came back and got 2 groundouts plus a strike out from Pudge Rodriguez.

    How many rookie pitchers can honestly say that their first strike out was on Ivan Rodriguez?

    BQ: Micah Hoffpauir is downright nasty when he swings the bat. The first At Bat he got this season was a Pinch Hit situation with a runner on 2nd. He hit a single over the second baseman's head for the RBI.

    Jordan Schafer is definitely one of the guys your talking about. Hits his first homerun in his first at bat in the majors (didnt play AAA). He also just hit another homerun today so now he has two homeruns in 3 games. He will be a top outfielder soon hes got the speed and arm strength is increasing his strength.

    The Mets have Daniel Murphy. He played in September, 2008, but the team has given him the left field job and has high hopes for him.

    Oh yeah, seeing Elvis hit that ball on opening day, that was AWESOME!

    So, yes .. I definitely think that Elvis has a future here.

    Yeah it's nice.

    BA: This Japanese guy Koji Uehara who threw 5 good innings against NYY today. It would be nice to have a great SP again.

    i agree with you. it's fun to watch rookies. they play with so much enthusiasm. nowadays, there are too many veterans who only care about records and money.

    BQ: Junichi Tazawa. i hope he'll be as good as Daisuke Matsuzaka.
