Floating "ghost orbs" in pictures?
Is it possible for those so called "ghost orbs" to show up in pictures even when the flash is not on. People online say that the orbs are created when the light from the flash of the camera bounces off something therefore reflecting light and making these "orbs" appear in pictures. Im wondering if the appearance of these orbs relies only on the flash from the camera or is it possible to create orbs in pictures without the flash on?

Lens flare can cause what appear to be ghost orbs. That occurs when the camera is facing a strong light source (i.e. the sun).

Yes, orbs do appear without the flash. I was watching ghost hunters one time and they took a picture of a place and there was no flash but they caught an orb the size of a softball!

Usually orbs are just particles of dust floating through the air. But as for having the flash off and still capturing orbs, that's a little weird.
Orbs are balls of energy, not just spirits. Try it again, only next time 2 or 3 straight pictures in a row (without flash). Then try the same thing with the flash on. If you get them without the flash AND the flash, the orbs just might come out in any picture.

Since I don't know what kind of camera you are using it is difficult to answer. There is quite a few reasons for light spots on your photos other than ghost orbs. Outside photos can be distorted from natural occurrences of the sunlight. Indoor photos can also be distorted from indoor lighting. I have many photos that have light distortions in them and I am pretty sure there is nothing paranormal about it.

I cannot and do not put credit into Orbs there are way to many things that cause this occurrences such as dust moisture reflections. So you can see it is to easy to discount there are reports of orbs being seen by the naked eye which are big in nature and moves in away to suggest that it has intellect but these can also be explained away .There are just to many things that can cause them that are not Paranormal in nature but I keep an open mind disembodied spirits can take shape in many forms but this one is to easy to discount

the orb subject is not even discussed in the paranormal community. it is a big joke. it is not even solid evidence. and its not only the flash it is also outside light sources.

It can happen when light from anywhere in the room reflects on dust or anything else. It doesn't have to be light from the camera flash.

They are real and interactive. I watched one on a camera placed above my door outside. I watched it on the monitor and decided to go out to see what it was. I took the monitor with me. I could not see anything with the naked eye but could see it on the monitor. I moved my hand near it and it followed my hand. I sat there playing like that for a while and then watched it fly off around the porch and out of sight.

Its a good question, my only suggestion is to experiment. Use various lighting conditions.
To the person who claims orbs are balls of energy - have you done basic science in school yet?

I generally feel they are optical 'hiccups', dust, etc. If they present something truly bizarre, you'll know without having to wonder.
