Why are my female guppies dead? Two separate tanks, one with driftwood, one without. All community fish.?

They were all together for over a month. They were apart for 10 days. All female guppies in one tank dead with white on their tails, the other tank all female guppies dead, just dead. 3 Fancy Males in one tank survived. 2 males in the other tank also died. All other fish ok? What gives? Any ideas? Thanks

It's either one of two things

    1. They had an ich outbreak and most likely your males will die too.

    2. The evil demon Barbus broke into your house and used the guppies worst fears to kill them leaving their tails white.

Your tank could be very overstocked and your fish are agony and dieing when you consider that of it. Adding extra fish to an already unbalanced tank wont aid some thing. zebra danios want 30 gallons minimal, golden barbs want 20 gallons minimal a good cycled and maintained 14 gallon tank might maintain five-7 cherry barbs and a betta. But the cherry barbs can on no account be in a institution of much less then five or they are able to die of pressure.

It could be white spot disease or fin rot.
