How much is it appropriate to pay a house and pet sitter?

I will be out of the country for about three weeks. While I am gone, I am having a college student stay at my house and take care of my pet rabbit. The responsibilities are pretty minimal. I want to make sure to compensate her fairly. How much is an appropriate amount to pay somebody for three weeks?

Standard pet sitters would probably charge btw $10-$15 per day(AUD). For 3 wks that's up to $315. But that's for someone to drive all the way over there.

The benefit of a house sitter is that they get to live there rent free so they pay you nothing.

SO, I'd maybe give them $5 day to look after the rabbit max, don't pay them for the house sitting cause they're getting ur house for free!!

OR I think it would be totally reasonable, depending on the standard of accommodation, to not pay them considering they're getting the accomm for free! Up to you.

I used to pay $10.00 per day and used the same person for several years that they were in collage.

there's no real guide but i would have set the price before choosing the person... so like, in applying they're accepting your price, whatever it is
