Don't vote Republican, or at least not blindly. I personally am not likely to even consider Democrats or Republicans until they get their act together and remember that they are in those positions to serve the people.
Up until now I'd always thought Libertarians had some wacky ideas, but did always agree on some core concepts. At this point I think it's time to give a Libertarian a shot. How much damage can they do when you look back at what both Democrats and Republicans have been doing for the past few decades?

Nope. there is frequently an self sufficient candidate and a Libertarian, plus diverse different specific pastime selections. The Democrats and Republicans dominate the elections, regardless of the shown fact that, so vote casting for the different occasion is fairly symbolic and not a serious decision.

I know what you're saying. But for me it's visa verse. I have been Republican for 26 years....until W. I was so ashamed and embarrassed by his "running of the country" that I voted Democrat in the election. I just couldn't bring myself to desecrate the country AGAIN with a Republican vote. And I think a lot of other former Republicans felt and feel that same way.

You are not the only one to switch party lines. In a general election a person can vote for any person of their choice regardless of the party affiliation. You can also change party enrollment if you choose by submitting a form to the Board of Elections.
The only time you will not be able to vote is if a democratic or republican primary is going on, (one part primary) then people can only vote according to the primary. But in a general election (in November) anyone who is registered can vote for anyone they want.

I voted Democrat for the first time this year. Wont happen again. Have you checked out third parties? it may feel like a wasted vote, but it can help to find a group of people who agree with you on more than a few key issues.

BULLSH****!!! LOL!
you voted democrat every year for 30 years... Bush was the worst president ever.... and now you're "ashamed" of Obama after 10 weeks???.... YEAH....

I couldn't vote for McCain, but Obama has been a mistake. I regret voting for him. He is nothing but an elitist and I can't believe some of his supporters don't understand this. His supporters will cheer his name no matter how much he laughs in their faces.

i'm glad your finding the truth, watch both party for lies, we need to call them as we see the them. I was hoping Obama would bring us together like said he would, he still has time, but it look like he not, so much for change!

Not at all.
Thanks for being honest with yourself and others. We can accept that many people didn't like Bush and were caught up with the lies of Obama on the rebound (but are now realizing how horrible he is).
I do hope that a 5 Star General or and Admiral steps in and takes the steering wheel for a while, to help save the life of the captain from the pirates.

My husband voted for Obama/Kerry/Nader in the past, but in our local election on Tuesday - he voted Republican.
We now have a Republican Mayor!
