Why does Yahoo! Answers keep e-mailing me over and over again about three best answers?

This is a current glitch with Yahoo! Answers.

many users at the moment are receiving lots duplicate Best Answer notifications for just a few best answers

I remember we experienced this glitch about 8 months ago on the site, and by the time it was fixed i had received around 60 best answers, but have been give around 720 emails regarding them!

I notice some users suggesting that you change your settings for when Yahoo! Emails you, but this is only possible for:

-Emails telling you that you have a new answer to your question

-Emails telling you that one of your contacts has asked a new question

-Email telling you someone has become your fan on Yahoo! Answers

As we do not have the Option to opt out from receiving Best Answer notifications, its not a cycle that we can break. (Yahoo! Know about the problem, and will hopefully sort it out soon)

I had the same thing happen to me, I was chosen as the best answerer for 5 questions but had 42 in my inbox that were just repeats of the same.

Yes, I got at least 10 emails so far today about ONE Best Answer. Glad I'm not the only one it's happening to. Must be some sort of glitch.

Uh, P.S., I got really excited, too, I thought I was on a roll as well. . .LOL. We must need to get some lives outside of Yahoo. . .LOLOLOL! :-)

If we all deleted Yahoo from our computers which is the only way to stop yahoo answers, and installed and used MSN messenger instead Yahoo would soon get the message and get their act together

that happens too me to every time I ask a question it emails me like 15 thing when there all the same what I do is delete all of them except one. It doesn't really bother me.

some glitch in the system. it happened to me, too. this happened once before a few months ago (but you still only get 10 pts for the answer)

just checked my email and yes, I'm having the same problem. I've got a bunch from this morning but I should have only had one.

computer glitch...happened to me a few months ago...you will be getting these for the next 3 days or so...sorry!
