Graphics card question?
When a graphics card says 512mb dedicated memory, and then says upto 1900mb of memory. I presume the extra '1400mb' of memory comes from the RAM?
If this is true, does the graphics card take the RAM needed automatically or do you need to change a setting which gives the RAM to the graphics card?

Correct, mine does the same thing, under the bios the dedicated memory is called "Sideport" and the extra is called "UMA" which you can select up to a supported amount. (note, im using a notebook as my example)
And Im pretty sure the card allocates the RAM automatically when necessary. Its also possible it allocates this extra memory from the pagefile like the RAM does.
