  • What type of plastic is an alarm clock made from?

It's just a simple bed side alarm clock. It doesn't have to be the exact plastic. Just a plastic it could possibly be made from. I know the alarm clock has been made using injection moulding so the plastic must be able to be used for this type of form.

  • Question about sale of goods act?

My PS3 broke recently and I knew about the sale of goods act vaguely and researched it.

However I'm still unsure about something. If I go back to the shop I bought it from, and say it broke for no reason or whatever, will they check to see if it is broken or whatever or will they give me my money back with no questions?

  • Limewire and an external hard drive?

I know that Limewire slows your computer down.

I'm presuming this is because it uses large amounts of memory to store the things you download? (If I'm wrong please correct me)

So, in order to not slow my computer down, could I buy an external hard drive. where I store all my music from Limewire and just plug it in when I need it and unplug it after I've finished using it?

  • Which of these themes are LESS graphics intensive?

Which theme less resource hungry. Both are from Vista OS.

    -Windows Vista Standard

    OR

    -Windows Vista Basic

Always though it was basic, however when I change to it, it seemed like it was more graphic intense, for example how stuff opened and closed, etc.

  • Graphics card question? 10 points available?

When a graphics card says 512mb dedicated memory, and then says up to 1900mb of memory. I know the extra '1400mb' of memory comes from the RAM (or virtual memory), however do I have to manually choose to give the extra 1400mb to the graphics card or does it do it automatically?

If I have to do it manually, how do I do it?

  • Graphics card question?

When a graphics card says 512mb dedicated memory, and then says upto 1900mb of memory. I presume the extra '1400mb' of memory comes from the RAM?

If this is true, does the graphics card take the RAM needed automatically or do you need to change a setting which gives the RAM to the graphics card?

  • Help with one of my fn keys?

FIRSTLY! I know what a fn key is and does.

I just don't know what this particular combination of fn+f5 does.

All my fn keys are blue.

The one I pressed and don't what it does looks like this:

Has two boxes next to each other, side by side, with a line in between them. One box is coloured light blue and one is coloured black.

Just wondering what happens when I press it?

It's one of the fn buttons and it looks like 2 boxes side by side with a line in between them. Once box is coloured white and one left completely black.

What does the button do can anybody tell me? And once pressed how do I know if it's on/off or whatever?

  • How come my download speed is slow?

I've taken a couple of tests on the internet where they test your download and upload speed. My download speed is around 4.6mb-5mb and upload speed around 0.4mb.

So in theory I should get around 500 kbs (4mb/80 when downloading something, right? However I commonly get 20 kbs or sometimes even 2 kbs. I rarely get something like 70 kbs.

How come my download speed is so slow when i download actually files?

BTW I'm using wireless internet with an 'n' router.

Does wireless internet affect how quick your downloads are?

Sometimes I get a better speed by taking my laptop to the wirless router but sometimes it stays around 15 kbs.
