I need a program to edit footage from a JVC Everio camera.?

when i put the footage on my computer i dont have a program that will let me edit it. windows movie maker doesnt work, ive already tried.

    Videofiles: .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv

    I use pinnacle studio 11 ultimate (not free).

    AVS Video Editor 4 is a good, FREE program!
