Pain is irrelevant injury is not.?
Pain is irrelevant, injury is not.
so if you drop a tool on your foot but don't break it, then it doesn't matter you pick up the tool and keep going as tho nothing happened. but if you did break something then it does matter.
So my question. Is it reasonable to ignore pain as long as your not your injured? Like hit your thumb with a hammer but keep working like nothing happened. Sure it hurts but it's not like your gonna die or be disabled. So why can't people just ignore mild pain? (i do understand some people have pain so bad that they can't do much of anything this is not what I'm asking about)

Everyone has a different tolerance level for pain. What is "mild pain" to you may be severe pain to someone else.

Pain could be a symptom of an underlying disease/condition - not always a result of injury.
Regardless, when injured, how do you know you straight away that you haven't broken something? What if you think you're fine, then go on to make a problem worse? What if you hit your head, then fall unconscious driving, putting OTHER LIVES at risk?
Yes, going back to work, getting on with lives is ideal. We can't all stop working for the smallest of ailments and often the distraction alone does a world of good. But severe pain negatively affects the quality of life of a lot of people and shouldn't be taken lightly.
If YOU'RE in pain you should get help for it, because chronic pain often makes people bitter ;)
