Two male border collie pups from different litters?

ok so i fell in love and bought my border collie puppy sooty 4 weeks ago, he is now 12 weeks old and we adore him, we now really want another border collie and we have found a 16 week old male puppy who is gorgeous, however i need to be 100% sure before buying him as i dont want to let either puppy down and want to do my best for both. ive heard people say that two males will always fight? is this true? also i just assumed it would be easier and more fun to train two instead of one but people have said that it will be much harder work to train two of them. i dont want to jump in with two feet without looking into it please help.

Update:

just an update, we picked him up last night. he is mad!! my partner will be training him whilst i will train our other boy. its early days and they have had a few rows but fingers crossed. thankyou

I have two male American Bullies who are brothers. They only time they fight is when they are playing. I've raised them to be great dogs and how to be obedient as I won't tolerate a dog that tries to dominate me. It's actually easy to train two dogs as they can learn from each other. They will understand, "Hey, he barked and got a treat, do I do it too?"

You need to have time and dedication. Train them as much as possible and socialize them like crazy.

p.s Getting them as puppies rather than waiting and getting a puppy in the future while the other is almost or is full grown can be tough, it would be easier for them to grow together. This will reduce much jealously that in fact leads to fighting.

it's very difficult to raise two puppies at the same time. it makes training harder not easier. if you're worried about fighting the best option is to have one male & one female - dogs of different sexes are less likely to fight.

Apparently, from what I've heard, 2 dogs the same breed actually get to know each other faster than 2 different breeds. It is because the same breeds have alot of stuff in common and they get along faster!

Just try and keep them together and pay heaps of attention to both.
