What do I want to be in the future?
I don't have a clue what I want to be in the future.
I know I definitely want to be a writer but I need a part time job to support myself.
My mum is very keen on me doing medicine but I don't want to because it's too many years of studying and my writing would take a back seat.
I wanted to study Psychology at university but my mum caused a fuss and complained that there aren't any jobs on Psychology after a family friend told her that her friends had taken Psych and none of them can now find jobs.
What should I do?

I don't think that is entirely true. Psychology plays a part in any job that you may have working with people. Social Services, Police Officer, Psychologists specialize in different fields, Marriage Counseling, handling kids with behavior problems, those addicted to drugs or alcohol, etc., Talk with a guidance counselor at school and find out more about your interests and what types of classes you can take to fine tune your skills into getting the job you want. And you can still write. You will just be very busy. Writing also takes some degree of solitude which may conflict with studies, but doesn't have to.
