Coming up with an original plot?
Well, I have an idea but it's already been done.
I was just wondering, how could I make it unique or original?
Thanks!

1 AnswerBooks & Authors1 decade agoCopyrighted novel ideas?
I'm writing a novel for children and I have a copyright concern. And it's common knowledge that there is no original novel idea.
i was wondering what copyright covered.
Does it copyright ideas, characters, themes and stuff? Names, locations, and concepts?
Could someone please help explain it because I can't understand it.
Thank you!

4 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agotoo much vampire fiction?
What does everyone think about the sudden explosion of vampire fiction in the market, especially within the YA range? Will it end? What caused it? And why is it so popular?
Does anyone think meyer's twilight series was the reason?
And last of all, which vampire fiction series/novel do you think is the best in the YA range?
Thanks ;)

4 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoAdvice for tutoring kids??????
The recession has made it harder to get a job and I really need one. I'm quite clever and so I thought my best bet would be to tutor kids in primary and secondary school. I've just left secondary school and in 5 weeks i'm getting my GCSE results. I'm 16 and in September I will turn 17
I'm thinking about tutoring children and putting ads up and I really need advice.
I live in England and I was wondering if there are any laws I need to know about or guidlines on what I can do. Do I need to be a certain age? Do I need to register or anything?
And I would probably tutor English and Maths although I'm not bad at French and Spanish. How much should I charge per hour?
I thought maybe about £5 per hour or is £6 ok?
and does anyone have any general advice? materials? and stuff?
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoWhat's wrong with me??
I asked this in the wordplay section by accident so I'm asking it again. Thanks for everyone who replied in the other Q i asked.
OK so I'm going to list all the symptoms I've been having in the past week. (They all started I think on Saturday last week and by Sunday they got worse.
~~Nausea and some vomiting. And it was painful when I vomited. Basically it felt like someone had stood on my chest and back. But I have stopped the vomiting and I have gained my appetite back but there is more.
~~Sharp pains. we;ll they're not exactly sharp because I can't quite locate the exact points of the pain. I can feel pain everywhere nearly. In my upper abdomen in the right and left side. I don't think I've felt any pain in the central upper abdomen. I have also felt some pain going into my back where it feels more of a pulled muscle or as if I'm sitting in an odd position.
Then there is the pain in my chest. It just feels a little tight as if I'm wearing a slimming band around my chest although it sometimes feels sharp.
Lower back in the right. And on the lower right abdomen. At first I thought it was appenditcitis but my GP said it wasn't.
He said it was a urine infection and gave me antibiotics (Trimethoprim or soemthing) but the pain is still there.
Does anyone have any idea what it could be???
(I'm 16 and I doubt it's cancer because not only is the pain widespread, I don't dirnk, smoke or do drugs. and I haven't had any weight loss.)
I'm thinking about going back to a GP and explaining this all again. And if the pain is still there I'll probably ask my mum to take me to the walk in centre or something because this pain is so annoying. It isn't pain so painful that I scream in agony but it is pain and it's more annoying than painful. It isn't stopping me from trying to do my everyday activities.
But the thing is that I don't have a burning sensation when I pass urine and I don't even think it hurts.

5 AnswersPrimary & Secondary Education1 decade agoWhat do I want to be in the future?
I don't have a clue what I want to be in the future.
I know I definitely want to be a writer but I need a part time job to support myself.
My mum is very keen on me doing medicine but I don't want to because it's too many years of studying and my writing would take a back seat.
I wanted to study Psychology at university but my mum caused a fuss and complained that there aren't any jobs on Psychology after a family friend told her that her friends had taken Psych and none of them can now find jobs.
What should I do?

15 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoI don't know where to set my novel?
Currently, I am working on a novel and it has to be set somewhere where there is a forest. If there isn't a forest then I'm stuck because it makes a lot of problems for me and the story then gets harder to write.
I have looked at loads of maps to find a nice small place where I can set the novel but there aren't any places that are suitable.
It has to be a town surrounded by forest and a while away from the nearest town/city. I set it in England but now I want to set it somewhere else but I don't know much about these other places which is why I want to set my novel in England.
After no luck, I made the town up but now I'm starting to think this wasn't a good idea.
Can someone please give me some advice don't say use spell check or look at more maps please.
