GCSE Revision??????????
I'm going to start exams on 8th May and I have just realised I have very little time left. I need to start going through whole syllabuses (I haven't learnt much at school). I was wondering if anyone has tips.
Everything I revise is bla bla bla in my head and I can't seem to remember anything. Especially History dates and language vocab and grammar
and is it too late for me to start revising now.
(I'm doing Spanish and French)

Hi there. I'm an RE teacher so hopefully I can help.
First of all, work out with your teacher what you need to revise most. Probably the stuff you did in year 10 and working forwards.
Secondly, make a revision timetable. Be realistic and stick to it. Use coloured pens and paper, whatever you want to make it look nice. It will help. Eve if it's just an hour a day between now and the exam.
Thirdly you need to sort out your surroundings. It sounds silly but spend half a day with your Mum giving your bedroom a really good clean and putting away any unnecessary junk. It will help you clear your mind.
THEN THE REVISION CAN BEGIN.....Make sure you have lots of snacks to hand. Take regular breaks to ensure you digest the info. Whilst revising, make spider-diagrams, accrostic poems, posters or whatever you think will help you to remember the info. Get some bluetack and put them up around your room. I used to make lists, it really helped.
It might help to take a quiz to find out what type of learner you are. Some people are visual (reading and writing, making lists etc) some arer kinesthetic (like to DO things to learn, like walking round the park reciting revision). Some people are aural and will record themself on a tape and listen to it back. Find a quiz on google and work out which way you learn best.
Finally, try not to get stressed. I always tell my pupils that if the think something is the answer, then it probably is....no-one has taught them the wrong information. A guess is always better than a blank space.
Be confident, be relaxed and remember that it is not the end of the world if you don't get the grade you want. Knowing you've put the work in will be rewarding enough!!!

the acceptable thank you to make a revision timetable is somewhat to verify how revision fits you. whilst are you maximum energetic? in case you do your acceptable artwork interior the morning, then plan your revision for the morning whilst your ideas is sparkling. comparable if it somewhat is interior the night or afternoon. in no way revise for too long. a million/2 hour maximum in line with consultation, and then have a a million/2 hour harm. It breaks up the day and provides your ideas time to relax. the way I did my revising replaced into to maintain to my unique college timetable. i might revise my matters in accordance to as quickly as I in many situations had the lesson. If i replaced into in many situations scheduled for Biology on Monday morning at 9am, then it somewhat is as quickly as I revised for it. of course it distinctive--if I had a French examination on might 5th, however the Geography examination replaced into on June fifteenth, i does no longer revise for Geography till after the French, and so on. So prioritise your revision into what checks come first or choose the main artwork. you will discover an information superhighway one in case you opt for for, despite if it somewhat is acceptable in case you intend your revision to examine your desires. maximum revision timetables revolve around people who study, study, study, and not easily everyone seems to be like that, so do purely what works real for you.
