MIchael Oher is too good to pass up. They select him.

Brian Cushing, OLB, USC
After addressing their #1 need by signing free agent defensive end Antonio Smith the Texans are now free to look in another direction with this pick. New defensive coordinator Frank Bush both played linebacker and coached the position in the NFL so the team might want to provide him with a protégé’ to groom. Brian Cushing is a very good all-around ‘backer with a sculpted physique and as long as he can continue to stay healthy he'd certainly be an upgrade over what they currently have at the position.

tyson jackson the perfect 4-3 defensive end. deicent pass rush, beastly against the run. does it all.
michael oher is good value at this pick but that defense needs some help. if this is the pick the offensive line will have a pair of good tackles for the next decade.
vonte davis may be a tempting pick. he is a big corner with good speed, fluidity and ball skills. some work ethic issues but has the potential to be a great player.
i'd be ok with any of these 3 players.

Seriously an RB? I think they would take Jackson with the 12th pick. Im surprised the Chargers pass on Jackson If Jackson is here they gotta take him. They are switching to a 3-4 and need the personnel. Tyson Jackson. They have Jordan, Buckhalter, Arrington as new additions at RB. They arent gonna take 1 in the 1st round. They also still have like 3 from last season. Def Jackson here.

Well, a damn good OL in Michael Oher has slipped but the Texans are devoted to continue developing their defense into a powerhouse. It was top 5 last season but they want to make it the best and become a threat in the AFC.
But here they select a very underrated Tyson Jackson out of LSU and feel great about adding his guy to their line.

I am from Houston and down here everyone has Clay Matthews, OLB, from USC as our 15th pick.. What a smart move, his uncle HOF Bruce Mathews, did great for the Oilers.......

the texans are in a tough spot. when i say this, i mean that whoever they get, they'll be reaching for. i say that because their needs are safety, corner, outside linebacker, wide receiver, and o-line.
they reached last year for duane brown. so, i guess offensive tackle is off the table. that leaves us with linebacker, corner, and safety.
there aren't any safeties worth taking in the 1st round, so that leaves us with corner, linebacker, and receiver.
for receiver, they need someone opposite andre johnson so kevin walter can be the slot receiver. i think he can be very good as a slot receiver. anyway, in my opinion, other than michael crabtree, there aren't any receivers worth taking in the 1st round. i mean, you could reach for darrius hayward-bey or hakeem nicks, but still. so, i think receiver is isn't an option.
now, here's where it gets interesting. corner and linebacker. there are 3 guys that come to mind: brian cushing, clay matthews, and vontae davis. personally, i don't like cushing and matthews as 1st round prospects. i know you think i'm crazy, but i just don't see them transitioning well into the nfl. so, i'm gonna take linebacker off as an option, but i'm gonna come back to it later.
my pick is vontae davis. he's got the physical skills and 15 seems like a great spot to take him. he is a boom or bust prospect, but i think he's worth it. plus, i don't think malcolm jenkins is all that good.
i say davis, but i think the pick will be cushing or matthews because davis' attitude/off the field problems might scare the gm and outside linebacker is a need. so, my pick is vontae davis, but i think the real pick will be cushing or matthews.

thats a tough one. im not too familiar with the texans even though i am a colts fan and the texans play the colts twice a season. i think they may want another DE to compliment mario willams, but you never know.
