why won't "full screen" work on my computer?

when i am watching a video, and i click on the full screen button, it doesn't work. it just turns my screen solid black..nothing ever comes up.

i have a new Compac laptop that i just got for christmas. it works fine except for that reason. i have 2 other desktop computers and they work fine with the full screen. i was just wondering if i needed to add something to make this work.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELPP MEE!

10 POINTSSSS! ^^

Update:

i found the answer! none of yall got it.. i just went to the bottom where the volume and the fullscreen button is, and right click and then go to settings and then uncheck the "enable hardware acceleration". none of yall were close.. that was a very stupid answer. " ur computer isn't made for tht!" wtf? why wudn't a computer be made for full screem.. it better be for the 700$ i paid for it.

What it truly is is fairly spyware from the supplier...it truly is stressful, yet no longer risky. there is an uninstall application for it on their homepage. additionally, in case you get carry of the Yahoo toolbar (loose) it has an anti-spyware application that would get rid of it. otherwise there are a number of solid anti-spyware/spyware classes accessible on the industry, like undercover agent sweeper, advert-conscious, and so on. desire this helped.
