Muggles: If Twilighters actually posted intelligent questions, would you respect them more?
I know that not all Twilighters are obsessed and idiotic, but do you agree with me?
I am so sick of seeing questions such as :
"ZomG ZomG EdWaRD Is HAWWWWT"
Or
"TeaaM Edward Or Team JaCoBBBB I am OSOOSO TeaAm EdWARD <<<<3333333'
If Twilighters actually asked intelligent questions that were genuinely answerable, I wouldn't mind them so much.
I just cannot stand the rabid Twi-Tards that go around saying "If you don't read Twilight i will shoot you! <<<<333"
I honestly believe this unintelligence is because of inlaid Imperius curses that have been put into every copy of Twilight, and it is turning teen muggle girls into zombie-like creatures at Stephenie Meyer's disposal.
Also you have probably noticed that B&A is getting more and more questions that are just lazy Muggle school children asking for people to do their homework for them.
If I were their teachers I would give them an extra 10 inches of parchment to complete.
Muggles, do you agree?
Thankyou,
~Sincerely Severus Snape
Also the overly obsessive rabid Twi-Haters are just as uninelligent and are making complete fools of themsleves.
I can tolerate those that dislike the book responsibly, but those that go out saying things like "Stephenie Meyer should rot in hell!"
"Stephenie Meyer raped my thesaurus"
etc..etc...

Thank you Snape. I agree. I'll respect any intelligent question on B&A. Fans have a right to their opinion. However, it is very difficult to respect anyone who posts a question such as:
~ ZOMG EDWARD CULLEN <3<3~??????
Or an answer along the lines of:
I LUV EDWARD 4EVAH AND WANNA B HIZ TOOTHBRUSH AND UNDERPANTS ALL AT WUNCE!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is even more annoying if that answer is in a question about a totally unrelated book. Twilight fans are, of course, allowed to have their say and I don't want to stop them, but I respectfully ask that they consider posting intelligent questions before they, as Severus Snape has quite correctly pointed out, turn into zombie like creatures at Stephenie Meyer's disposal.
I also agree that the obsessive Twilight Haters are equally annoying. Everyone ... just damn well act your age and show some respect.

The thing is, people should respect others no matter how unintelligent they seem. I think that the only reason a person should be disrespected is if a person has done something bad or insulting. Most Twilighters, no matter how much they want to talk about Edward's godliness, are not insulting. Just very excited about a series that they like.
I already give them respect. I try to be as polite as possible, and I encourage everyone else in the B&A section to do the same.
I completely agree, though, with what you said in your Additional Details. Those people are intentionally rude and definitely deserve some of their own medicine. There's one user in particular who I came across the other day who is rather (and very unnecessarily) nasty to Twilighters. I'm not a fan.
Anyway, if Twilighters asked more intelligent questions, people *would* give them more respect. The only thing is that their questions aren't unintelligent. They just don't belong here. I guess you could call it unintelligent that they don't go to fan-sites or use the searchbar, but it doesn't seem like they *want* to leave Y!A or use the searchbar, so I wouldn't, therefore, call it unintelligent. They're just stubborn, but so are those overly rabid Twi-Haters.
Sorry, Snape. That was a pretty meanderish answer. But I hope it's satisfactory :)

Well Professor,
I must agree, And I will share with you a small story:
I cam across a question that said the following "Twilight Haters", not that I 'hate' Twilight, moreover I wanted to see what this Twilight fan could throw at us. When I went to read the question, the details inside said "People hate twilight, But I think they are wrong" (I corrected the grammar and spelling so as to give a little face to the asker),
If you Imagine that *facepalm*, yes will that is precisely what I mean,
So yes, I do agree that the Imperius curse is embedded in each copy, any person worthy of respect and is a capable and civil being would obviously not ask a silly question like that one.....
So in brief, yes, the less stupid, the more respect, its a simple and common sense, sadly people seem to lack that trait now-a-days
(By The way, I am not a muggle, Just so you know ;)

I'm probably too nice, but I never lose any respect for anyone when I see them ask questions like "Edward or Jacob?" or "Does anyone else love Twilight?" It doesn't make me respect them particularly, but I still have respect for them. They're just asking innocent questions. Half the time they're new here and don't know how annoyed the rest of us are. I only start to lose respect when they begin to insult others.
Same goes for antis. It's one thing to offer criticism of Twilight; it's another entirely to personally insult Twilighters or Stephenie Meyer.

I most certainly agree, I would respect them more if they didn't avoid common sense and actually used spell check. But alas most do not! Most cannot even be bothered typing in the question they are about to ask in the search bar. If they did they might actually realize that any Twilight related question has basically been asked or answered at least twice, it's going beyond irritating.
I think people ought to read the books they have been assigned to read for homework, they were assigned for a reason. Yes I agree that they can be truly terrible, I myself have to read some terrible texts, but you really have to push past that and avoid getting others to do your homework for you. If you must, use the Homework Help section, that is what it's there for!
I have nothing personally against these people, and I do not hate them, I just think that it's annoying that the B&A section is being flooded with pointless questions.

Oh, my dear Severus, aren't you adding to the Twi-haters? If not, forgive me for misunderstanding you. I have met and seen rational Twilighter questions, which made me very happy, but sadly they are few and far between. I would indeed respect them more if they wrote original questions that did not deal solely with their hormones.
Next time, don't call me a Muggle. I have elven and Maiar magic in my blood, thank you very much.

EDIT: hahaha, Scholastica, you made me laugh so hard!
EDIT 2: "Twilight readers are often intelligent, the books are pretty large."
Eheh, excuse me, don't mean to be rude. I know many intelligent Twilight fans, but on here, they are rare. The books are large because the font is enormous. Go on and open any other random book - the text is so much smaller.

Exactly. Twilight is a book and people have just as much right to ask questions about it here as for any other book. That means the book. It does not mean the movie and it does not mean the actors...and it also does not mean kiddie drooling over how hawt Edward/Jacob is.
And answerers also have the right to answer those questions - and to be treated decently if they don't give the exact answer that the questioner wanted to hear. No, we don't all think Twilight is the greatest book ever, and lots of us have a) read it, and b) spent time analysing what it it that we don't like about it - because that's what we do with books.

Is this question also for wizards like me?
I'm not sure i would respect the twilight fans too much, even if they were decent, but yeah, i wouldn't hate them as much as i hate most of the twilight obsessed people and their horrible questions. I hate reading all those horrible, ineligible, pointless, questions about twilight, i mean at least talk about Harry Potter (not the student, professor, the harry potter world, your world, my world, our world, the wizard world).
Yes, i do think that B&A is getting more and more questions that are just lazy Muggle school children asking for people to do their homework for them. Why don't they go to homework help, and ask decent questions, to get help on their homework? I mean you have to admit, sometimes you need a little help, your last essay, for example, about shredded boomslang skin and it's uses in potion making, was very very hard.
If you were their teacher I'm pretty sure you would give them more than 10 inches of extra parchment to complete. I've still got toad brains under my fingernails from your last detention, professor.
Yes, I also hate the overly obsessive Twi-haters, as you put it. Most of them are just as unintelligent, but I swear that Twilight must have somehow permanently damaged the Twilight fans' brains.
I think Stephenie Meyer is a bit of a joke, but I do think we should respect her as a person, up to a certain limit of course.
As for your idea (I honestly believe this unintelligence is because of inlaid Imperius curses that have been put into every copy of Twilight, and it is turning teen muggle girls into zombie-like creatures at Stephenie Meyer's disposal.) I have pondered this, and I do think you might be very right, but who would cast the imperius-curse? Someone must investigate this more closely, I'll send an owl to the auror office immediately.
by the way professor, how long does the essay on veritaserum have to be? Did you say 2 and half feet? But that will take all weekend! And there's a quidditch match, it's Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw this weekend!

Some Twilighters I actually do respect, because they manage to get across their opinion without a single 'OMG EDWARD IS HOT' or 'IF U DNT LYK THE SERIES U R STUPID'.
I do like your theory about the unintelligence, but, considering I am a teenage girl who has read all four Twilight books, and have yet to fall under the Twi-hard spell, how does that work?
I consider myself a mild Twi-hater, but I don't say things like the examples you gave. I prefer to back up my opinions with facts (such as the fact that SMeyer is a horrid writer with no sense of imagination).
Thanks for a chance to rant a little. = )

"Stephenie Meyer raped [wheeze] my thesaurus"
Thats a good one lol
But I resent this a bit. I'm a former twi-hard and I never wasted questions on twilight or unintelligent questions if i do say so myself
