btw, all the links are scans...

my uncle and his poker buddies make a lot of cash, using steam cleaners, wood polishers, etc

    How to be successful:

    1. Advertise! When people hear they don't have to do their work, they jump all over the oppurtunity!

    2. Get to know your clients. Some people may feel uncomfortable with a stranger cleaning their house. If they know you and trust you, they'll rehire you.

    3. Work your butt off! If people lime your work, they'll tell their friends and family, which means more customers/money for you.

    4. Get a good bookkeeper. Don't fool yourself into thinking your making a profit. Let the financials prove it.

    Good luck to you!

    Hi, Tim!

Yes, eventually you can make a very good, very stable income with either or both. I clean small offices and make a several thousand dollars a month. And I haven't had any cancellations from the economy mess either.

The key is to plan and have your 'ducks in a row', so to speak--see my Squidoo lens & blog (links are in My Profile) for how to do that. Start off slow and build. Target the 'right' type of stable client.

Service businesses are so great for someone to start and do well. But like most things, there is a learning curve (not too much) and it takes time.

i do that already and things have been great. there is alot to learn and it is hard work. definitely need to get in touch w/an accountant and an insurance person to help you w/all legalities if you want to be serious and long term. it costs too, it's not a total incoming income so be ready to fund yourself. and it takes a while to build a client base strong enough to get you along financially.
