Why the countries like US, Russia, France, Germany, China, Japan are not playing international cricket?

Those countries are playing many other games but not cricket at international level.

Update:

Cricket is being played in UK. Australia, SA, Scotland, Ireland, Kenya, India, Newzeland, Pakistan, Srilanka and some other countries. Why non-cricket-playing countries encourage cricket as one of the sports? No sport will create interest for the people unless it is encouraged and assisted by sports authority.

Update 2:

No sport can be said to be wasting time. All and any game played with sports-man-spirit will always be helpful in strengthening the ties between two countries. Previously, golf was not that much popular in India. However, with the encouragement it received from people and sports authority, it has gained tremendous momentum.

Update 3:

Cricket is not the only sport played in India. India has produced champions in Badminton, chess, boxing, hockey and all other sports.

Actually, most of the countries you listed DO have national teams, but they are very weak. Cricket isn't very popular in those countries and as a result the teams are weak and can't survive in the tough competition of other countries like India, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, etc, etc.

They all probably do have cricket teams but they are so crap that they cannot get into the international level.

Also cricket is not a worldwide sport and is really an exclusive sport. Just like you can only play baseball if you are in US(etc.)

Hopefully T20 can repair it but I don't think IPL is the right way to go.

Because India doesn't really need any more cricket, there should be T20 exhibition matches in countries that don't play cricket.

generally these countries are not interested in cricket.... mainly it is only countries which have some form of history or participate in some form of interest.... like mainly the sub-continent countries such as india, pakistan, sri-lanka have cricket teams because cricket is nothing but the only sport played in these countries.... but other countries don't fancy cricket and dont prefer it as their sport

Well, here in the U.S., we don't play cricket domestically, so going international really isn't an option.

It's just not something our people are interested in (not that they wouldn't be, if they knew more about it), just like the Scots and the French don't like American Football.

US,Russia,France,Germany,China and Japan are very weak that is why they don't play international cricket. What's the point in loosing every time.

I guess its because they don't want to waste too much time playing cricket.

It's very simple, they just don't want to, it's not part of their history/culture.
